Beautifully line your skirts and dresses with this satin half slip, a luxurious Shadowline® skirt slip which features pretty Rochelle lace trimming the hem. A comfortable elastic waistband creates a relaxed fit, while the premium bias cut of the satin charmeuse fabric really brings out its silky shimmer. Product Care: Machine wash warm. Delicate cycle. Use only non-chlorine bleach. Wash colors separately. Tumble dry low. Remove promptly. Low iron if needed.

Using a fabric tape measure, obtain body measurements as follows and compare to the size chart below.
BUST: Measure around your body at fullest part of bust, keeping tape under arms and fairly level front to back. Larger busted women will have a more accurate reading if bra is worn during measurement.
WAIST: Measure around your natural waistline holding the tape comfortably loose.
HIPS: Stand with heels together. Measure around hips at fullest part (approx. 9″ below waist).

We have kept the original Dixie Belle panty sizing, which fits a little smaller than Shadowline panties. Once you know your Shadowline panty size (check our size chart at the top of the page if you’re unsure), you can use the comparison chart below to find your equivalent size in Dixie Belle:
Additional sizing tips:
- Bust measurements are more important for full slips, camisoles and garments with loose, flowing bottoms such as nightgowns or sleepshirts.
- Hip measurements are more important for garments with closer fitting bottoms like slips, pajamas and panties.
- If one of your measurements falls in a larger size or you prefer very loose garments, you may be more comfortable in selecting a larger size.
- Shadowline sizes garments for generous comfort. If you prefer your clothing form fitting, you may want to order a smaller size.
- Slip lengths (full and half slips) are measured from the waist down – nightgowns and sleepshirts are measured from the shoulder down.
- Bra size is NOT the same thing as bust size. Generally, you can convert by adding bra band size (i.e., 34, 36, etc.) to cup size in inches (A=1″, B=2″, C=3″, D=4″, DD=5″). For example, a 34C Bra size = 37″ Bust measurement. Measuring your body is the most accurate method for sizing.

I just bought this slip and haven’t tried it out. It is true to size. It’s soft and silky. I got it in taupe, it’s like a light faded purple. It’s not flared much, just a little. But I loved it so much I already have the full slip and camisole in taupe on order. I have lots of Shadowline, Velrose, and Dixie Belle products. All of them are the best of my collection. I found this on Amazon. A message to Shadowlinelingerie.com, please advertise your products better. I felt left out because I didn’t know about this slip sooner.

This new Rochelle line is just gorgeous! I got this half slip in mint and blush along with the matching Shadowline® Rochelle Satin Adjustable Strap Camisoles. These delicate pastels are so wonderful I didn’t want to cover them up. The half slip was comfortable with some really pretty lace. These pieces remind me of the elegant clothing my mother would wear when I was little, just after the last days of petticoats and crinolines when beautiful frills were still in style, just not the volume and multiple layers of the 1950s under skirt foundations. I thought my mother was sleek and fashionable like Jacqueline Kennedy and I always wanted to grow up to look like her. Shadowline brings back the feminine allure of those days, and I would gladly get this slip in a variety of lengths.
