Slip into something a little more comfortable with this long and flowy woman’s nightgown. Hand braided spaghetti straps and a Venise lace appliqué neckline bring this elegant nightgown to life. Shadowline’s® Opacitrique® nylon is soft and enjoyable, making it a bedtime must-have!

Product Care: Machine wash warm with like colors. No bleach. Tumble dry low. Warm iron if needed.

Using a fabric tape measure, obtain body measurements as follows and compare to the size chart below.
BUST: Measure around your body at fullest part of bust, keeping tape under arms and fairly level front to back. Larger busted women will have a more accurate reading if bra is worn during measurement.
WAIST: Measure around your natural waistline holding the tape comfortably loose.
HIPS: Stand with heels together. Measure around hips at fullest part (approx. 9″ below waist).

We have kept the original Dixie Belle panty sizing, which fits a little smaller than Shadowline panties. Once you know your Shadowline panty size (check our size chart at the top of the page if you’re unsure), you can use the comparison chart below to find your equivalent size in Dixie Belle:
Additional sizing tips:
- Bust measurements are more important for full slips, camisoles and garments with loose, flowing bottoms such as nightgowns or sleepshirts.
- Hip measurements are more important for garments with closer fitting bottoms like slips, pajamas and panties.
- If one of your measurements falls in a larger size or you prefer very loose garments, you may be more comfortable in selecting a larger size.
- Shadowline sizes garments for generous comfort. If you prefer your clothing form fitting, you may want to order a smaller size.
- Slip lengths (full and half slips) are measured from the waist down – nightgowns and sleepshirts are measured from the shoulder down.
- Bra size is NOT the same thing as bust size. Generally, you can convert by adding bra band size (i.e., 34, 36, etc.) to cup size in inches (A=1″, B=2″, C=3″, D=4″, DD=5″). For example, a 34C Bra size = 37″ Bust measurement. Measuring your body is the most accurate method for sizing.

At eighty one, I have been wearing this spaghetti strap long nightgown for—-well, ever. I have tried other makes—-ALL terribly skimpy,and the others in ths line, although very nice, aren’t a patch on this. PLEASE give your other reviewers some attention and produce these in other colours! I would buy lots more and I imagine, so would they!

More upscale than most Shadowline products. More upscale designs, please, and more colors!
Seriously, I wish you would do a totally elegant, upscale line. There are many older women who are larger, who have new husbands or serious boyfriends or who just plain enjoy and have the means to obtain beautiful things. A more expensive, elegant line, in addition to your regular line, I believe, would be a big income producer for you. Saks and Neiman’s styles are usually not cut for my body. Shadowline is.
Also, for goodness sakes stop putting red roses on your black gowns and robes. That is so so tacky.

Like some many others, I have worn this gown for years. And I’ve reached a point where I would love some other colors! I wear a 2X, and would even welcome a pink one! I’m really tired of blue. PLEASE make this style in the extra large sizes (1X-3X) in some pastels other than blue!

Hi Judy, unfortunately Pink is now discontinued, but it’s available in a 2X in the short flutter-sleeved gown from this same Beloved collection. As for this particular nightgown, we appreciate the feedback on colors – while we don’t currently have plans to add more, we’ll be sure to mention it to our design team.

I’ve had 3 of these nightgowns for years and sadly they are wearing out.
I cannot find my size (medium) anywhere online. Please make more of them in all sizes in the same material. I also wish you’d add more of the brighter colors back for this specific gown. I do not like pastels or black.
I like the thin spaghetti straps but the longer ankle length. I’ve tried other gown in the Shadowline nightwear but they just don’t feel the same while sleeping.
For whatever reason, I do not get tangled up in this goen when I sleep.

Fabric washes well and looks great all the time. It is very classy. Your company has other night gowns that are a bit sexier but this is just beautiful and standard classy nightgown that everyone should have in their closet. I have several of this gown, both short and long. The long is my favorite. I have lost weight and now need to get smaller gowns. I have blue because that was all that was available. I have been a fan of Shadowline night gowns for years. My favorite is the Lace Spaghetti Strap long night gown. It is so soft and silky and moves with me when I sleep. It does not bind or restrict me at all. The gown launders beautifully and always looks brand new. I have the pink and blue and am so pleased to find the black available in my size. I wish that you had more colors available in this style. I would buy them all.
