Shadowline Collection Spotlight: Satin Essentials

Happy 2020 to all of our loyal Shadowline customers and new readers! We started early on one of our New Year’s resolutions which was to create a company blog. We’re looking forward to getting to know all of you better this year and to show off our Shadowline sleepwear and daywear.

Today we’re going to start with one of our newest collections that we are incredibly excited about. Many of our collections are classics with a vintage vibe, but with Satin Essentials, we wanted to design a collection that was modern, timeless, and ageless. We also wanted the collection to be multi-functional and easy to care for, which meant machine washable pieces that could double as slips and nightgowns.

One of the things we love to include in our collections is pieces that feel more luxurious than their price tag. The Satin Essentials collection is cut on the bias for a beautiful drape on the body, which is often only found in higher price lingerie lines. Each slip in Satin Essentials has a minimalist flair but also boasts an elegant design.

Shadowline® Satin Essentials Adjustable Strap Chemise:

Slips have been popular for decades and they’re trending now in a big way. This piece functions as a modern short slip but also as a beautiful soft nightgown. The straps on this slip are adjustable for a closer fit and it features an elegant bias cut design. It’s available in Silver, Taupe, and Black so all of your basic needs are covered. Shadowline® Satin Essentials Half Slip:

Our Satin Essentials Half Slip works under anything! It’s great if you want your dress to drape beautifully or to line a more sheer skirt or dress, but it’s also a practical option for daily life. Worried about your dress or skirt blowing up while you’re walking to work? Layer it with a half slip. Want to avoid getting your favorite sundress covered with sweat in the summer heat? A half slip is your friend. The 15” length works for a wide range of customers and it can be paired with the Satin Essentials Wide Strap Camisole for a complete base layer.

 This camisole works well when paired with the Satin Essentials Half Slip but also is lovely on it’s own! We love it under blouses at the office and as an extra layer of warmth in the winter. It’s reversible so it can be worn with either a v-neck or a scoop neck in front. We’ve cut it on the bias for a beautiful drape and given it a classic shirttail hem.

 If you love the idea of the reversible neckline used in the camisole but also love slips, you’ll really love our Satin Essentials Wide Strap Chemise.
